Business Partners, Contacts and Address Books
Introduction
B2Win Suite can host all your business partners (for example suppliers or customers) data and use it in the smart engine. Each business partner can have multiple contacts working for it and each contact has his/her own communication details like email address or fax number. The contacts and business partners are linked together in an address book. So for example you can open a new address book and call it “Invoice to Address Book” and link each business partner with the right contact in the address book. You can create different address books like “Ship to”, “Buy from” or even personal ones. In order to send the documents to these contacts all you need to do is to tell the smart engine which address book to use.
There are two system settings that might help you work with the business partners. The first one is Use Two Level Business Partner and this might be helpful when you do not have a contacts table in your ERP. This option will try to minimize the use of the contact level. The second one is One Business Partner per Contact, it will restrict the numbers of business partners per contact to one. Meaning every contact can be linked with one business partner.
